CuddleWorks began with a simple need: to help children feel safe in their bodies when the world becomes overwhelming. As a parent of a neurodivergent child and an emotional-regulation educator, I saw how quickly noise, transitions, or bright lights could push a child into overload — and how much calmer and softer they became when they felt grounded and secure.
Searching for tools that combined weighted deep-pressure comfort with softness and emotional safety, I tried everything — weighted blankets, sensory toys, plush animals — but nothing truly helped children who feel the world more intensely. So I began creating my own.
Working with occupational therapists, psychologists, educators, and families, we developed weighted plush companions designed to settle the nervous system through gentle, grounding pressure. These tools don’t demand anything from a child; they simply offer warmth, safety, and presence. Early testing showed children sleeping better, calming faster during meltdowns, and naturally reaching for the plush when they felt overwhelmed.
What started as a personal project has grown into a mission: to create weighted, sensory-safe comfort items that support emotional regulation for kids of all neurotypes. Today, CuddleWorks offers weighted plush, calming tools, and sensory-corner essentials that help children feel safe, grounded, and deeply supported — at home, in classrooms, or anywhere they need comfort. Our promise is simple: weighted comfort, made with understanding.
